/Partnership with the NAIC
As a tribal-led nonprofit organization, the NAIC works to 'restore, preserve, and protect the culture, heritage, and land of the Northwest American Indian people'. Teton Topo works to support the coalition by creating maps that serve as cultural resources for tribal communities. This is done using data from a variety of sources, including oral histories, archaeological surveys, and ethnographic research.
“Northwest American Indian Coalition, Inc. is incredibly grateful for the invaluable services provided by Teton Topo. Their expertise in handling culturally sensitive information & creating maps to support our forestry work, has been instrumental in our efforts to manage and preserve our ancestral lands. Teton Topo not only understands the importance of cultural sensitivity but also integrates it seamlessly into their work, ensuring that our sacred sites and historical areas are respected and protected. I wholeheartedly recommend Teton Topo to other tribes looking for a company that respects and values cultural heritage. Their commitment to accuracy and their willingness to collaborate closely with us throughout the planning and mapping process has been exemplary. Teton Topo has not only been a reliable partner but has also demonstrated a genuine dedication to helping us achieve our conservation and cultural preservation goals. Working with Teton Topo has been a positive and enriching experience, and I encourage other tribes to consider them for their GIS and land management needs."
